    On December 18th, 2020 the NJCAA announced that it will formally recognize clay target shooting as an emerging sport within the association. On June 23 2022, upon the recommendation of the NJCAA Clay Target Committee, the NJCAA Board Of Regents approved USA Clay Target League as the regular-season clay target vendor.
